  • Every concert cameraman should be a musician so we can finally stop getting close ups of faces and a good view of the action.

  • @musikabarnetik - This guy???? Lenny to you is this guy-? you show how clueless you are regarding drummers when you say something like that and further-- lenny was all over the scene with chick corea and many many others before anyone had any idea who Dennis Chambers was- you need to do some studying--

  • Really nice.

  • Michael Brecker - RIP...............

  • In the 70's I was around 15 years old.... walked into a record store and put on some headphones to listen to some already loaded music - it blew me away.

I bought the album without hesitation - not knowing a thing about the musicians other than I loved it.

That album was Streamline by Lenny White.

Now, some 32years later, I catch my 7 year old playing drums to this same album in his bedroom !!!

And I taught my son to lead left hand, which just now I discover is how Lenny plays....

    Wow !!

  • @NTROPYK

I used to wonder why my dad would get pissed off at concert videos, that is until i became a muso.

  • @musikabarnetik - Came here to watch this vid and happened to read some of the comments. If there was no Lenny White or Billy Cobham there would be no Dennis Chambers. Dennis evens states that when it came to fusion - jazz - chops and so on. Yeah you may think Lenny is suspicious but guess where Dennis got it from. This guys right here! I would say go back WAY back and do some studying..........

  • @solais01 I see, you're right. Cobham, White , Mouzon... it's not strage that they have a similar style, but... this guy is too suspicious, he has the hat like Chambers, plays a part of the solo that is 100% Chambers', ends the solo like Chambers does in almost all of his solos...

  • @musikabarnetik White and Cobham are around the same age and from the same era of music, though... And Cobham's older setups were different from this. Plus drummers change their setups all the time! With your logic, someone with a two-up two-down setup is copying Gadd and everyone with a four-piece is copying Ringo. Don't forget that Chambers is around 10 years younger than White, and White was releasing major albums before the 80s (70s et al), which was when Chambers broke out into the scene.

  • what he does is nothing new, he has the drums set as billy Cobham and from 1:55 to the end of the solo is what Dennis Chambers does in all his solos. I do like those two drummers but I think it's better to play your thing on your own style..
