@cucciolotta5992 The Wikipedia entry says that it probably originated in the south of Italy, and some regions of Italy do not recognize it. So that would make sense. Every nation has its regional customs so this sounds like it's one of them. For example, I'm sure places in the north far away from the sea are unfamiliar since they're not near a fishing source.

It turned out really good! Because it came out so good, i decided to search around for more recipes you have and i found this video and cant wait to try this dish out because i LOVE seafood. @cucciolotta5992 The Feast of the Seven Fishes (festa dei sette pesci), celebrated on Christmas Eve, also known as The Vigil (La Vigilia), is believed to have originated in Southern Italy and is not a known tradition in many parts of Italy. This is what it says on wiki. It is probably the part of Italy where you live.

Made it yesterday!! So so good!!
Here in Italy we don't know the feast of the seven fish. I think that it is popular among some Italian American families

@cucciolotta5992 well since i was Born and Raised in Italy for most of my life and since my whole family still lives these ( so of course i visit very often) i can tell you that yes the feast of the fishes is very much a traditional italian thing. However we tipically don't stick to just 7 different dishes, more like 10
