EASA is Europe's largest assembly for students of architecture that set off from Liverpool in 1981. Its aim is to find a board of communication and democratic cooperation between the students of the continent. Its purpose is to organise two-week long workshops every summer and to introduce new scientific and technological accomplishments throughout Europe. It's website (www.easa.tk) offers vivid communication for students of all nationalities and provides up to date trade information. The official language is English.
The focus of the annual program is a fourteen day gathering organised by one of the countries that will become the host country. Most of Europe is represented by students here, altogether around 400 people. Every country wishing to participate needs to apply. In recent years, there was an increase of students from Asia and America. This colony of architectural students usually fits into the life of a town or city, but maintains a separate unit within it at the same time.
