Mathew Sweet put on one of the more memorable shows of my youth, this song makes me think of that show in London Ontario, at Dr Rockits (I think it was that or "The Nac") 1992.

Great song...And i like the video too...This song should have been a much bigger hit...I guess his label could have been to blame for failure to Matthew Sweet properly...
As for the space motif...The line in the song "You're taking the guidance from the force" may have made a space themed video inevitable...Perhaps she was getting love from somewhere in outer space...

Never really understood why people didn't love Blue Sky, I mean, it's NO 100% Fun, but it was still a really solid Sweet record.
For the record, 100% Fun is close to, if not my favorite album of all time.

Another underrated tune by Sweet, who makes writing catchy hooks seem as simple as rolling out of bed..
Anyone else notice the chorus from this track sounds almost exactly like The Dream Police by Cheap Trick? Sweet even includes that siren sound.
In fact, about 1/4 of the songs from this record sound similar to tunes from Dream Police and One on One. Or perhaps I'm a geek ,who listens too closely to songs I enjoy and jumps to conclusions that simply don't exist.
