Dr. Robert Silverman, pediatric dermatologist, speaks about ways you can keep your kids safe in the sun. He recommends looking for clothing with UPF rating or laundering their close with product that adds UPF to their clothing to help protect kids from sun. Sunscreen is very important to cover areas that UPF rated clothing doesn't cover! Try to avoid long periods of time from 10am-3pm to avoid the strongest rays of the sun, sunburns can begin to develop within several minutes in the sun. Dr. Bob illustrates the right amount and how to appropriately apply sunscreen.

Enjoy the warmer weather and stay safe in the sun!
