You may be familiar with anti-swelling drugs, but did you know that there are also foods that are anti-swelling? Anti-inflammatory refers to the property of a substance or treatment that reduces swelling. Causes

Swelling is the first reaction of the immune system when it is an infection or irritation.

Classic swelling is inflammation, redness and pain, hurt ourselves or some kind of infection.

Recent research has shown that eating the wrong foods or being obese can cause swelling. A low level of subclinical swelling contributes to the cause of most degenerative diseases.

Swelling is associated with heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, liver and kidneys, arthritis, Alzheimer's disease, and sleep and mood swings.

Today's modern diet - which often contain too much refined starch, fried foods, vegetable oils rich in omega-6 fatty acids, saturated fat, animal products, trans fats, processed foods high in sugar and low fiber-rich foods - tend to increase the pain of swelling.

There are vegetables in the nightshade family as t potatoes and eggplant, tomatoes, contain solanine, which can contribute to swelling.

Akaloids that are high can affect the joints, nerves, muscles and digestion in some people.

But nature has given us some foods that reduce swelling and are full of essential vitamins and minerals that can enhance our immunity. Here are some of these foods:

• Salmon - wild Alaskan salmon is packedwith omega-3

• Turmeric - Studies have shown that its anti-inflammatory drugs are comparable to potent drugs such as hydrocortisone and Motrin, without any side effects.

• Ginger - This report of turmeric are also very popular worldwide for its beneficial anti-inflammatory.

• Shiitake Mushrooms - Shitake mushrooms help boost the immune system.

• Green tea - contains flavonoids that help reduce swelling.

• Cranberry - Berries are rich in antioxidants that help reduce swelling and inflammation.

• Extra virgin olive oil - its polyphenols protect the heart and blood vessel swelling. Monounsaturated fatty acids are also anti-inflammatory agents that may reduce asthma and rheumatoid arthritis.

• Broccoli - A member of the cruciferous family of phytonutrients including swelling and cancer.


• Cranberry - Berries are rich in antioxidants, which help reduce swelling.
