The subfamily and genera of the Elapidae family that live in the ocean (seas snakes), are the most toxic, drop-for-drop, to almost all animals. This is because they eat fish, which are very fast-moving. They need a venom that will immobilize them instantly.
Oxyuranus microlepidotus. the Inland Taipan, is the most toxin neurotoxic snake (mg for mg of venom) on LAND, as in terrestrial snakes.

the deadliest snake in the world is actually the inland taipan also known as the "fierce" snake made famous by steve irwin the crocodile hunter.

If the snakes head is pinned and the fangs are out it might squirt a little venom but it will not shoot it at people like a spittin cobra.
