The Oak Ridge Boys had a not too secret crush on Emmylou Harris. In one of their lesser known songs, a bit of a satire, they wrote about the country girl singer beauties of the day (the late 1970's), and in reference to Linda Rondstadt, Olivia Newton John and Emmylou Harris, they penned the priceless line, "Rondstadt's really nice, and I love Olivia's eyes, but heaven is a girl named Emmylou..." :-) PERFECT!

I didn't think it possible to improve on perfection but Emmylou with her hair tied back. Oh my goodness. Weak knee stuff.

Dear LORD! Emmylou is so beautiful! Can you imagine dancing with her? The worst part would be the end of the song, and having to let go of her! All her life, she has secretly whispered to me, "HOLD ME ~ KISS ME ~ CAPTURE ME ~ HIDE ME". Good thing I don't listen to those voices in my head.....!
