Cuando se realizó la presentacion de la Expo Mundial 2010 en Shangai, el pais invitado estelar era México, con la participación especial en un pabellon, sin embargo a raiz de la influenza en este mayo de 2009, China retiro la invitación, por lo que ahora ya no se participará en ella.
