Here I am making my routine shave lather. Rich, creamy, and smooth.

1. Real Shaving Co. shave cream.
2. Van Der Hagen deluxe shave soap.
3. Glycerin.
4. Tweezerman badger shave brush.

  • hi, i bought the Twezerman about 2 weeks ago and it is kinda hard to lather with for me. The first pass it is nice and creamy but then the brush gets dry and frizzy looking and wont load lather that well. Can you help ?

  • @arbinka2007

I would load the brush for longer. When in doubt, use more product. It take a while to find that perfect balance. I'd start with loading your brush a ton more. I got a cheap $1.70 puck of VDH soap and literally practiced dozens of times.

  • Where do you get the glycerin?

  • @instructorarmijo

the first aid section at walmart, rite aid, wallgreens, etc..

  • @OurBest, you don't need to use both. I use both because i find that it makes it richer, but that's just me. I do however get great results using just cream, and I do enjoy cream on it's own. Just depends on what I happen to be using.

  • I could have driven to Costco and bought shave gel faster than this.

  • @torwinn yes you could. this takes longer, but its a way better experience using this than canned crap. Canned stuff does zero to hydrate your skin and hair during the shave because the propellant used to expel the stuff from the can also puts tons of air into the gel, most of what is on your face is air. This stuff will take a very, very long time because its all moisture.

  • tweezermans are good brushes thats for sure. people rip on them. it was a tad scratchy on my face. but it was nice.

  • @instructorarmijo CVS, Walgreens, Rite-Aid about 6 bucks a bottle

  • do you mean I need both soap and cream? I just have the cream, is the soap necessary?
