when naming organic compounds, does the prefix's di/tri ect. change the overall order on which a compound is alphabetically named

for elimination, doesn't water form as a product? Also, would it be considered dehydration if water is being removed?

@I3I3oyI2ice Yes, you would make water when doing elimination on an alcohol! I wouldn't call it dehydration...but it kinda is!
