There was a time when I would have loved a game like this but I've been playing this on an emulator, and the gameplay, alas, is pretty shallow. Wander through the maze, shoot the aliens -- which are pretty dumb and slow moving and just wander into your line of fire, pick up stuff, press a button. It's the "Doom" formula except the more primitive graphics highlight the dullness of the formula. I'd rather play "Albion" in this style which has RPG elements.

To all the morons who say that this game is rubbish - you did not grow up in the era of classic gaming. Old school games such as Duke Nukem, Halloween Harry, Cosmos Cosmic Adventure, Jetpack and Raptor.
You cannot repeat the style that these old games had and they have now pathed the way for games that we play today. Stick to your Xbox's and PS3's no one wants to hear you trash talk a classic game
