Pasta varation of Belgian food (mussels, fries and beer)

A delicious pasta variation of Moules-et-frites, in Chez Léon, one of the most famous restaurants in Brussels, the capital city of Belgium (another is the Manneken Pis, across the street from the fountain of the same name). There are other restaraunts between the Grote Markt / Grande Place and Galerie St. Hubert.

Here you see a plate of mussels with vermicelli pasta and buttery sauce, fries with no sauce as of yet, though the sauce is in the little pot waiting to be put on the fries, and a half-empty glass of Maes beer - it was too good to let sit around before the food came!

Not shown: for dessert I had a glass of cherry lambic which had a nice red color to it. For those not familiar with Belgian beer, cherry lambic is basically beer with cherry juice (no idea about the coloring, if it is natural or not).

there's waaaaay better food then that in Belgium! Usually they serve 2kg of mussels atleast per person, cooked in white wine, can be marinated in other boiled with onions, cellery, and salt, served to your table in a medium sized boiling pot; With a side dish of lot's of fries! and not always beer :) mussels is a typical french dish from Belgium, thus white wine is also very well appropriate with this dish :) MMmmm Heel lekker! Super Délicieux! I'm glad you made this video and enjoyed our food

@amiausUSA @amiausUSA No!! Fries are from Belgium (Flanders) Holland has nothing to do with fries, and flanders is a big part from Belgium, it's not THE Flanders, but just Flanders, Flanders is the part of Belgium where people speak dutch (Flemish)

And Maes is not quality, you really have to try Stella Artois, that's the best Belgian Beer without doubt, but there are 600 belgian beers, if you wanna taste them all, I don't think you'll be able to decide!

Unfortunatly Maes beer is indeed belgian beer.

Lambics are not beer combined with juice, but a very in depth process of wild-ale brewed beer with a secondary fermentation with whole cherries. I could go through the whole procedure, but if you want to know just message me. ;)
