This is an excerpt from Adyashanti's talk at the Science and Nonduality Conference 2010. http://www.scienceandnonduality.com The Notion of self... Try thinking about yourself in other terms then the self... Who is searching?
@DavidAKZ Is it really appearing "in front of you"? I had a dream where I saw a table; did it truly appear "in front of" me? Or did it appear INSIDE me? Inside of my consciousness? That which perceived the dream-table and the dream-thoughts which arise about it is the same thing which perceives the waking-table and the waking-thoughts which arise about it (which include the dream-label or waking-label "table"). Dream-table and waking-table are each as "empty" or "solid" as the other.

@EdenConsciousness Very good ! ok, so why does the table that appears infront of you appear solid if it is essentially empty ?
DavidAKZ 9 months ago
@DavidAKZ I hate to be a stereotypical nondulist here, but... To whom does it appear solid?
EdenConsciousness 9 months ago
