The Future Problem Solving Program International (FPSPI)) is an international academic competition program. Over 250,000 students internationally participate in the Future Problem Solving Program every year. Participating countries include the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and England. Not only does it encourage creativity and application of aggregate knowledge, but it also presents several opportunities to compete on state and international levels. During the school year VAFPS gives 2 practice rounds, 1 qualifying round, and 1 state round or "State Bowl" for those that passed the qualifying round. Winning teams at the State Bowl (1st and 2nd) advance to the international competition.
No experience is necessary, and FPS is very easy to learn (with little time commitment). Just be sure to bring your brain! Please stay tuned for further announcements or messages from the club officers for meeting dates.
Why should I care about the future? I'm an 80 year old man with minutes left in his life... what makes you think the future matters to me? Back in my day we solved problems with force. And lead.
