So if you're tank just has a lot of surface rust, which most do. I'm sure that 4 or 5 gallons of white distilled Vinegar can come to the rescue for you and your pocket. And it only take A day or two for the rust to separate from the tank.

  • If you were wondering...apple cider vinegar is about 2% more acidic than white vinegar.

  • I've used diluted muraiatic acid for swimming pools to clean rusty tanks,it only takes a few hours,sometimes more if there's lots of dried gunk in the tank. Now I call radiator shops,some can clean the tanks out without harming the paint.
