A Makorro is a long, narrow, hollowed out tree which the local people in the Okavango Delta use to get around in. The Okavango Delta is situated in Botswana, a river heading towards the sea makes a u-turn and flows into a desert, creating a huge wetland in the shape of a giant hand, visible from space.
