Aluminum vs. Wood bats

NJIT physics professor Dr. N.M. "Ravi" Ravindra conducts a test on metal and wood baseball bats with the help of some of his students and two NJIT baseball players.   They froze baseballs in liquid nitrogen, hit them off a tee and noted how far the balls traveled and how much the balls cracked. The results show without a doubt that aluminum bats hit the ball harder than wood bats.

@MRBOSSMANIII hahahaha you don't even understand the experiment. balls for BOTH bats were dipped in liquid nitrogen. the experiment was to see the impact of the bat on the ball. the nitrogen was just to determine the damage the bat made on the ball, and the aluminum cause more damage

I can't lie. This may have been the stupidest experiment you could do to determine what kind of bat hits a ball farther. There are just to many factors that come into play to be able to accurately compare the two.
