Free lunging Rubio, the 2008 ATA In Hand Futurity winner. He is a 3 year old brown son of the Grand Prix dressage stallion Rubino Bellissimo, grandson of the pre-eminent dressage sire, Rubinstein I. True to his lineage, Rubio is a barn favorite; Prince Charming on four hooves. Beginning his show career while still at his mother's side, he was top 2005 colt/gelding Dressage Sport Horse Breeding for NEDA in both 2005 and 2006, placing 7th and 5th respectively for USDF nationwide. This year he placed 2nd in NEDA and 5th in USDF. Rubio is registered as a part-Trakehner. He is lifetime registered with the USEF and USDF. Training has progressed beyond the point shown in the video.
@katylovesmetal They arn't that long that they would hit him, the only time they would is if he does a tight turn, there isn't anything it can get caught on.
And they probably were. they fall when the horse is trotting when you lung.

@katylovesmetal Because they fall down whilst the horse is moving ? I run mine up when I lunge, but they end up down because of the movement ?

Running up the stirrups would be a good idea... but his trot is beautiful! Lovely long strides. Good "strided" horse! :)

why arnt your stirrups rolled up?
they could get caught on something or swing around and hit him. :S
