These are my four Parrot Cichlids fighting over a few chunks of beef heart. I don't feed them this too often because (obviously) it makes a mess.

  • how big is your aquarium?

  • @Katt0008

    60 gallons.

  • @lilbluependragon That's a nice aquarium , I have 2 parrots and I am just doing some searching on other parrot cichlids , mine are in a 32Gallon , how old are yours?

  • @Katt0008

Thank you. :) They are about 3 years old now.

  • @Katt0008 Okay well I have a question do your Parrots fight? Mine do and i think they 've injured they're upper lip since they do this kissing thing but it's fighting , now I want them to live at least tree years and how about when you first put yours in a tank how was it for the first few weeks? I've bought everything possible to make them happy and now one of them has ich. -.-' Help?

  • @Katt0008

I bought mine all together as little babies so they grew up together, as well as raised them with other small fish to make them less aggressive. Something that might help with the fighting is to move ornaments around every two weeks or so, that way they don't establish territories and start fighting. The ich might have came from the place you got it from, or it could be that someone has their hands in the tank too much. Get them some medication and stress coat and they will be fine.

Hope that helps, let me know if you see results.

  • the setup of ur tank is really gorgeous. i have a 54 corner bow front with parrot cichlids and angel fish and i think im gonna use ur tank as inspiration to decorate mine :D

  • I bought mine when they were tiny. They were grey with black stripes and after a week or so they turned that orange/yellow color, it depends on where you get them from. They have Midas (Red Devil) Cichlid blood in them, and they are that same color. I'm getting some of that food as well, might as well see if they like it, lol.
