Owen is a member of Titan Fitness & Martial Arts in State College, PA. The burpee exercise represents the "gold standard" in conditioning exercises. It has been popularized through well-known conditioning organizations such as rosstraining.com, Crossfit, and Gym Jones. The burpee combines the squat thrust with a push up and the bottom position and a jump out of the squat and standing position. Owen's form and technique in the video will clearly and correctly illustrate the burpee. It creates the perfect marriage between aerobic and anaerobic conditioning especially when performed in multiple sets of 10 or more. Consecutive burpees of 50 or more should only be performed by athletes of a higher conditioning level. For beginners, the squat thrust is a good start in the journey toward better conditioning through the use of this exercise.

  • The criticisms on here are so stupid. The kid is 8. He did a hundred burpees. Most kids his age are watching T.V. and developing diabetes type II. Why don't you people spend less time criticizing children and more time improving yourselves like he has?

  • You know what's funny, I was going through the 100 burpees video list and I saw most people do a 100 without the squat involved and I come across this video, see this kid does the whole form. Good job!
