After seeing thousands of vídeos of people destroying their power adapters... This is probably the ultimate method. It took me 10 minutes of work.

This fix is for the supply end:

Heat your cutter
Cut off the four plastic tips that hold the rubber
Take out the rubber and cut it half following to not damage the cables
Cut from the connection until 3 inchs of the single cable.
Peel, connect and tape
Put back the rubber around the connection (first probably you have to clean a plastic part that stays inside the rubber)
Insert the rubber+cable back in to the hole.
It holds by itself but you may put some glue to keep it better.
Plug it
Enjoy your macbook

Good luck

  • If I had viewed this earlier, I wouldn't have destroyed my adapter

  • @alesorin But you do know that a warranty for an apple computer can be for 4 years? If you buy the apple care extended warranty right before your 1 year limited warranty expires you will in effect have a 4 year warranty since the apple care warranty is for 3 years. Laptops are suppose to be replaced every 3-4 years anyways. Because After that you wont have the power to run the latest OS or it'll just be incredibly slow. The late 2008 Mbps for example, wont run Os X Lion

  • @kalijasin I hope most of the people doesn't think like that man... My laptop is still working and I really dont have to buy another one to make the same stuff. By the way... did you see my stove? of corse I dont have money to buy a new mac each 2 years, ha ha... And also 4 billion people cannot buy a new computer each 2 years, I think that we are lucky to at least have one. Thanks to @Icolorimutevoli for the support. Good vibes for everybody

  • @Icolorimutevoli by the time the warranty is up its time for a new laptop.

  • @kalijasin they would only do taht if your warranty isnt over man

  • Thanks!! This really helped me!!

  • If you took it into an apple store they would of gave you a new one for free. Yet, instead of getting a brand new one for free you went and did all this.
