@Mu5clehead Yeah what's your point? Fault finding, or to point out the fact that every successful person has failed? Unless you got magic powers, the only way to get good at something is to start badly. No one on the face of the planet has a 100% success track record.
I think it takes a lot for someone to say that. And it puts us all on the same playing field. It's very equalizing, and very liberating at the same time.
A few months ago I was privileged to meet the world famous Chuck Norris when he spoke at my university. I waited about 2 hours after the event to get a chance to shake his hand. When I told him that his story was an inspiration, he got almost annoyed at me and just said "well YOU are the future!" As if everything he had done was nothing compared to what I (a college student) could accomplish in my own lifetime.
I want so say something that some people might not really think about. Guys and women do this. A lot. Have you ever put yourself in someone's place who you admire, and respect? Like Eben, and instead of always thinking about how so and so will do this or that, people don't realize that all of that is in them. I like to think about the structure that someone uses when they communicate. I STOP and watch them and realized they are no different then you. I think the world would be better off.
