I got 2 new Pintech cymbals in the mail today from Hope Drums!
http://www.hopedrums.com/

A 10" clear single-zone PC and a 12" Translucent Blue single-zone VisuLite.

I mounted the 10" PC up as my blue open hi-hat, just above and to the right of my yellow hi-hat (the black 10" TC). And I replaced my blue Ion cymbal with the 12" VisuLite. They both came with Aquarian cymbal springs, so I used those too.

Played a couple songs, and they're both just as awesomely responsive as the TC in my previous video. The VisuLite is a bit louder when hit on the edge, actually quite a bit, but when hit on the Bow, it's pretty quiet and actually has nice realistic cymbal rebound as well. The PC is about the same in volume as the TC, and has better rebound too.

I'll be posting some play videos using them very soon! :)

  • how did you connect your pintech 10" cymbal to respond as blue (open hi-hat) and also have another cymbal to respond as blue (ride) aswell (:

  • @kyuubimaster1 Just used a standard 1/4" mono splitter from Radio Shack. Costs like 5 bucks.

  • You must have 2 Cymbals going into the one input right? How you do that, just a normal spluter or somwthing?

  • Yep, normal mono 1/4" splitter, available at Radio Shack for just a few dollars.

  • What's the response like?

Better than the Ion stock cymbals?

    Please respond :)

    Thanks!

  • How do you set this up?

  • @kyuubimaster1 sweet thanks dude!!!!

  • Mounting the symbols to the existing arms worked.

  • @x3hV0LUM3 My Pintech TC is mounted on a stock Ion cymbal arm. The only thing you have to buy is a cymbal sleeve and felt, which you can get in packs of 4 for a few dollars each.

  • @phipsijuice I'd love to hear the answer to this, or the OP's outcome? Did it work mounting them to the existing hardware or not?

  • Dave, did you mount the pintech cymbals on the ION cymbal arms or did you order new arms? I ordered three pintech cymbals but did not purchase the arms.

  • I heard a xbox 360 in the backround
