Senator Johnny Isakson (R-GA) delivers the weekly Republican address on the Health Care Reform bill that is currently being debated in the Senate Finance Committee. Senator Isakson also sends his condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives due to the recent flooding in Georgia.
Senator Isakson discusses how important this Health Care Reform bill is to the American people and how the Republicans have listened to what their constituents have demanded at local events and town hall forums.
Senator Isakson declares that "Americans are rightly concerned about the rush to pass a massive overhaul that will raise their taxes, lower their quality of care and put government between them and their doctor." And that "Republicans believe the key to reforming health care is strengthening the doctor-patient relationship by using choice and competition rather than rationing and restrictions to contain costs and ensure access to affordable health care."

You want big government to bail out your state to provide healthcare and support to flood victims, but more government is evil and threatens your liberty, right? Typical. No republican president has EVER shrunk the size of government, how many times have you ever held them accountable? You would vote for a republican no matter how much they expand government, so drop the act.
Vote Inhofe out! This Pro-Rape Pro-"C" Street asshole is worthless! This fuck is one of 30 Senators that voted no on the Franken amendment, (check out the Franken Amendment #2588 to the 2010 Defense Appropriations Bill) To sum it up, he cares more about Haliburton/KBR Contractors rights than the rights of a victim that was gang raped and put in to a container in Iraq.
I can eat a rare roast beef sandwich while watching open heart surgery, but this guy makes me gag! Vote Inhofe out!
As a working registered nurse in the State of Ohio I have no health insurance. I am ashamed to be a registered Republican. The Republican lie, cheat, ofter half-truths, slant the facts, and are out of touch with America. Congressmen have health insurance paid for by the American people and it's the best in the U.S.A. Republicans don't want anyone else to have anything near their health plan due to kick-backs, bribes, gifts, campaign contributions received from Insurance Companies.
oh so mabye we should let your neighbor's dog be our senator.... and we'll let your neighbor's dog's dumbshit neighbor be our other senator, i'd rather have a patriot who will serve the people and actually take the time to listen to the people run as senator than 2 stupid bitches who will do anything if thier owner (the government) puts a nice doggy biscuit on thier nose. (no offense to the neighbor's dog)
Government healthcare in Canada works great! You have been brainwashed. The head of the Canadian healthcare system was on C-Span to dispel the myths that people like you are passing around. You hear about the wait times. Very rare and only in a few provinces. And if a person has to come to the US for care, the Canadian government pays for it. Not one person in Canada would trade their system for ours. They laugh at us!
Johnny doesn't just speak from the pulpit of conservatism. As he states, he has managed a small business and understands how Americans constantly struggle to make ends meet. Johnny and his fellow Republicans are not standing in the way of health care reform, but ensuring that Congress does not mortgage the futures of the next generation.
