BBC just used to programme these performances!? That's awesome! They should bring it back :( you never see stuff like this anymore on Britsh television, when now is the time we need it most!

I could do most of the movements of baradanatyam myself but cannot bend like the young dancers having learned Bolywood dance myself.

I didn't actually train at Kalakshetra but my guru's guru did. My teacher is English but her guru is called Balasundari & she was a class mate of the world famous Dhananjayans in the 1950s & 1960s.
I think Valli lives in London now.
