Part 1: ride to Lake Sebu, and arrival Dongon Falls.

Why Sebu ?
One time at home, I saw in a travel guide a little fairy picture of bamboo huts on pillows in water. The book contained only a few lines of information about the lake. The picture fascinated me. I started fantasizing; was it possible to reach that image in real?
The contrast of the primitive huts, versus our western organised glass house life.
Who is never searching for a lost paradise?
During a stay in Davao City, I tried to reach the mysterious lake, but no one wanted to drive me there! Maybe they were a little frightened. Until, the day before I had to fly back! So, too late.
One day, in Manila's underworld, I met a (too) young girl, who 'operated' in the city with false ID papers. She was born at Sebu. She told me, that I was crazy to go there. 'They' would kill me there, she said.
Later, via internet, she withdrew her statement, it was untrue, and she didn't mean it.
Sebu became a challenge, kind of a secret mission, as the enigmatic Pinatubo Volcano was years earlier.
The next year I reached the mysterious little lake.
Few days before, in the near mountainous region, the Ampatuan Massacre happened.
