This is a zoomed in close look at the 2009 pilots as they taxi out at Salinas,CA. I was in the second row and was able to capture the pilots professionalism, and their interactive comradery, enthusiasm, and uplifting interactions with the air show audience. About half way through this video is a memorable conversation I had with Commander Greg McWherter, but the audio I've kept mostly private. My discussion with him included questions about communications between pilots, as well as my own family's involvement in the U.S. Navy. You can hear him say he will "check out my website" (TallSky). He is, of course, a very pleasant, well-mannered, top-notch professional. He, like the other officers and maintenance crew, is an inspiration to so many of us on YouTube.

In the later portion of this video is a series of my clips from the following shows: El Centro, Salinas, MCAS Miramar, and San Francisco's Fleet Week. In order to fit them into a ten minute video, they are divided into five sections on your monitor screen.

Sixteen United States Navy and Marine Corps officers, as listed for 2009 at
http://www.blueangels.navy.mil/ , are also given due credit, with their United States Navy Blue Angels uniform Website photos.

Enjoy!

Note: this upload was not true hd, but my 2010 air show videos will, Lord willing, be in 1080 high definition.

I hope you enjoy this video, and favorite it as well. I don't make any money off these uploads, but I do it so that I can interact with you other Blues buffs, and other air show fans around the world. ( All video in this movie is copyright 2009 by me, except of course the still photos of the pilots.)
Thank you for watching my videos! Sub me and I'll sub ya back, and new friends are always welcome!

  • so damn nice.i haven't see this airshow at my country....

  • I watched it anyway! Will watch again after processing.

I saw the Blue Angels and Pappy Boyington at the Salinas Air Show many years ago. The Blue Angels were awesome. Pappy mad a low level fly by with his Corsair, canopy open, wheels & tail hook down perhaps 100' off the deck.

    Keep these coming!

Got my Navy fix for the day.

    5 STARS!

  • Yeah, blue angels:D I love their shows:D
