  • Just realized that in the picture of the Gra-Y team, the kid in the back row in the red tank is Richmond's new sheriff:-)

  • Holy crap. I grew up in Richmond and went to Hibberd (the old one), do I know you? You pictured all the places I use to hang out.

  • @golffer5

Maybe, Jana Haustetter Angelucci here:-) I was at Hibberd k-9th grade. Junior high years were 72-74.

  • @janalaine Crazy stuff, just behind you, Lisa Lunsford.. remember science teacher Gary Hubbell? Use to go to his house and swim in his pool. I was trying to remember the little short guy that taught us history.. he looked like Mark Spitz. Also, remember running down the hill to go to the dairy queen and eat a coney, sour cream and onion chips and a cherry slush. Gosh... the memories.

  • @golffer5

Every person I know from Hibberd remembers running down that hill to the Dairy Queen for lunch:-)

  • I think we have only been back once or twice in the past 10 years - Graduated H.S. there in 1958. Good to see it recovering, since it had nowhere to go but up when we left the area. We live in an even smaller town now!

  • NICE VIDEO

  • Terrific piece! Does anybody know Mrs. Bender-5th grade teacher at Hibberd ? Please Contact tklute@snet

  • Great Video! I went to Hibberd when it was an elementary school and then to C R Richardson when it was built to replace the old Hibberd school. I still cant believe that they would let us walk down to the Dairy Queen for lunch. I would never let my kids do that.

  • I loved this! I lived on SW 8th street and on Old US 27. My dad taught accounting at I.U. on the Earlham Campus. I went to Boston from 64-68 then we moved to Central Michigan. Thanks for the memories Richmond.

  • I just loved this! I lived on SW 8th street as a child and on Old US 27, went to Boston and loved the Richmond area. My dad taught accounting at I.U. on the Earlham campus. We moved to Central Michigan in 1968. So many great memories flash as you watch this video. Thanks for the memories Richmond.

  • Enjoyed seeing some sights from home. Also saw some familiar people. I went to Hibberd from kindergarden thru 9th grade. Haustetter (I sang at his wedding) and his son and mine are good friends.

  • Martha Isaacs Wayman, now of Ky, my 6th-9th grade years were spent in Richmond and were in so many ways the very finest years growing up. I went to Boston Junior High and we lived waaaaay out at the end of 23rd street(?) past the country club I recall. I am 53 now so that makes it about 67, 68 ish, ack! We have fine friends and fine neighbors and moving away broke my heart. I loved this video, and still enjoy

getting back to drive through and visit family friends. What a special town.

  • Have traveled and lived all around the world, but still proud to call Richmond my home town! Awesome job on the video, brought back memories. Looking forward to a visit home soon.
