Bowser's Inside Story - Final Boss - Bowser vs Dark Bowser - Mario & Luigi vs Dark Star Core

Final battle! The reason I took so long to upload this is because after beating Dark Fawful, I spent some time level grinding to reach 40 for all 3 characters. I did this simply for the Ranking and the ending message. I honestly didn't expect the fight to be like this. This battle is broken into 2 parts. On the outside, you use Bowser to fight Dark Bowser. On the inside, you use the Bros to fight the Dark Star Core.

Dark Bowser: Start this one off by hitting Dark Bowser with your best attacks. When he attacks with a boulder, watch the middle and right rows. Use your shell to block any rock in the middle, and time your punch to hit one of the Right rocks into Dark Bowser's mouth. That flame hurts, so you'd be wise to stop it. His next attack is punching you. He will punch similar to how Midbus does, only he doesn't stop until you're either dead or you block it. If you block his punch with one of your own, he'll jump up and try to slam down on you. Use the shell to block that. His 3rd attack is that he summons a dark cage around you. There's 2 ways out of this, one easy, one hard. The easy way is to repeatedly punch the Star Lock until it breaks. The hard way will cause some damage to Dark Bowser, but you need to use your shell to make the cage swing back and forth, and with the proper timing you can break the cage and land on Dark Bowser, dealing some damage.

Finally, when you deplete his 1000 hp, the Dark Star Core will revive him and make him a giant. In this state, he only has one attack, and that's to summon a bunch of his minions at once. As Bowser walks back to Dark Bowser, punch Goombas, Bob-ombs, and Koopa shells, duck under Thwomps, Bullet Bills, and eventually Dark Bowser himself. Punch his stomach to make him spit out the Dark Star Core and return him to his normal size. Inhale the Core to take this battle to its second phase.

Dark Star Core: This is the real battle now. Fawful has fused with the Dark Star to become the Dark Star Core, and has 6 parts to defeat: 2 eyes, 3 legs, and the core itself. You need to dispose of the eyes and legs first in order to hit the core. Take down the eyes first so he doesn't hide his legs when you try to attack them. Then get rid of the legs. His attacks depending on whether or not the legs are still intact. If they are, he has 3 attacks. One attack is Fawful slamming his arms into the ground in front of the bros, and sending energy orbs at them. Simply use the hammer to stop them. His next attack is picking up the bros in each hand, and firing a beam at them. He will raise and lower the bros to try and trick you, so only have the one he targets jump. Otherwise you may get some damage you didn't want. His 3rd attack is where the main body chases you, and the Core tries to slam into you. Pay close attention to the Core's color, as it tells which Bro it's going to fly into. Jump to avoid the core, and you won't be hurt by Fawful. With all 3 legs destroyed, the core itself now fights. It only has 2 attacks, both of which can be devastating. Its first attack is to produce a dark arrow/chain thing and swing it around. It will try to trick you(as you see it did to me) by dipping the arrow low, but not touching the ground. Eventually it will hit the ground, and by this point you need both bros jumping to avoid it. After a few rotations, it will fire the arrow at one of the bros. It will angle the arrow just a second before firing, to tell which bro it will shoot at. Use the hammer to send it right back at him. If it hits, there's a chance your Bro will become confused. Its second attack is a massive beam that covers the entire screen. Grab onto Starlow and she will take you to the top screen to avoid the beam.

Once the legs are destroyed, hit the core with your strongest attacks. You need to be quick, however, since the core will restore the body after 2 or 3 turns. If it does, it will fly out of Bowser's body, and back into Dark Bowser, and you'll need to repeat the entire process all over again.

And with the final boss beaten, you can enjoy the ending and credits.

@davidizzawsome I've gotten this question so many times. When Dark Bowser becomes a giant, punch his stomach. He will spit out Fawful/Dark Star Core. Press Y incredibly fast, that's the only real thing I can suggest here.
