Some bits and pieces of the 2009 ERAHC Classic Show held in Lexington, VA on August 20-23. It was our first show and we had a blast. Tia won Champion Half Andalusian Mare and Best Movement. We also won High Point Half Andalusian Amateur. I am so happy with how far she has come since I bought her in Oct. 2007. She is learning to pull a cart, do western pleasure, english pleasure but my favorite is camping and trail riding with her.

This was our first show. Everyone was helpful and I would say enter whatever you feel comfortable in. The judge was kind and easy to talk to. I think if you just go into it with the thought that you will learn from it and try to keep trying to improve you will enjoy it. It was new to my mare as well you can tell she wasn't sure about the people in the arena. Just relax and enjoy, remember you are the one paying to do this. Good luck. I hope to show again this September.

beautiful horse! I am hoping to d one of the ERAHC shows with my half-andalusian someday. Any tips? (what classes, rules, what to wear..etc.) I know nothing about the breed shows since my focus is eventing!
