@dangerjp No, it's fine that you ask. It is protocol to respond with lights and sirens in the state of Missouri. It is for safety measures for motorists and pedestrians, since we are responding emergency personnel.

People will be surprised with how many states allow volunteer fire fighters to respond with lights and sirens on their POV. I'm from Texas and we are allowed to respond with lights and sirens. The lights have to be as wide and as high as practical of the vehicle. Must admit a red light or blue light that is visible from 500 feet in alternating or rotating pattern. Must be visible 360 degrees. Siren must be audible from 500 feet.. Must drive with due-regard for the public's safety.

Great vid man! I love all your vids. In my state In Australia we aren't allowed any form of lights or sirens on personal vehicles, we all have to respond to station which can be time consuming sometimes, also how big is your city?

@johnskibs Yeah, they were calling more guys hence the second tone
-
@Jgirmanjr The ground slope on the sides of the house made it a bad place for ladders, not to mention the ridge is the most stable part of the roof, to work from.
-
@1808LPFD Just what I was gonna say, and I wasn't there but putting the ladder on the side of the house would be a little smarter and safer.

she did a second set of tones when they called for a second alarm! hahaha
