@Heathnyy5 We know Manny didn't stop because he was caught twice more using stuff that failed tests. You can be cynical and believe Arod and Big Papi have never stopped using (Big Papi a more likely example, as his numbers have fluctuated wildly the last few years while Arod's been pretty steady since 2008 at right around 30 HR & 100 RBI every year). Was Ortiz using in 2004? Maybe not, but it would be naive to think he did not use in 03, considering the difference between his stats in Min & Bos.

@Heathbabyxoxo4479 Testing began in 2004, in 2003 it was anonymous and players were notified if they failed. Those using in 04 were most likely using HGH or the cream or clear or something undetectable at the time. Sheffield and Giambi, along with Bonds, we know used the undetectable variety thanks to BALCO. Arod was on stuff (along with Manny and Ortiz) that got him caught in 03. Since he was not caught after, you have to think he stopped using after 03. Perhaps Papi too. Manny didn't stop.

This is the single most important moment in Red Sox history.

yeah, because the 2004 yankees had no players who were juicing (Sheffield, A-Rod, Giambi)
