Vintage Sr. If ya can't beat em', wreck em'! Labonte could have taken him out but he had a better car. Fresher tires. Passed Sr. clean (for a short track). Sr. knew he could not beat him so he takes him out. That was about his speed. Holy crap though, if Labonte would have taken Sr. out, Terry would have needed security just to get to his hauler.

That was one of the last moments that every NASCAR fan who wasnt a diehard Earnhardt fan remembered "Oh yeah, hes a god damn asshole!" Rubbins racin!

I've only watched this all the way through once (live) but I remember earlier in the race where Terry and Dale were racing through lapped cars (they were the cars to beat all race as I recall, though Dale kept losing position cause of a bad pit stop spot) and Terry did a very similar rattling - only Dale saved the car and Terry passed him.

So do I think it was clean? Nah, but would Terry have done it with the roles reversed? He would've and did.

This was my first cup series race! Grew up 30 min from Bristol been to more races than I can remember but this being my first cup race it still stands out to me!

I was at that race and a large portion of Earnhardt fans were booing him for wrecking Labonte. Thats a fact.

hell dale sr and labote were my fav drivers back in these days, and all i gotta say is terry had the better car and was clean about it, but we all know rubbins racin, both are legends and great drivers

It is sad how Dale Sr went out but that said I really think he had it coming from the racing Gods. Dale Sr was a dirty racer.
