Violence erupts in Athens during Greek strike

http://www.euronews.net/ In the centre of Athens youths broke up marble paving slabs and hurled them at police on Wednesday. The response was tear gas as riot police chased the protesters.




The demonstrations were part of the 24-hour strike organised by the Greek Communist Party labour movement in protest at the government's austerity measures.




About 1,000 police were deployed in the centre of the capital. They say several people were detained and two injured.

@aseredy it is not just greece, it is Spain, Portugal, US, Japan, and this is serious because it is the most blatant robbing of own people for the benefit of the Bilderbergs. Job losses are massive all over the globe, poverty is greater each day and until such day that it penetrates all pores of working middle and upper-middle class most won't get it because media, owned by the world's richest, do not broadcast the truth. do not throw stones on police - it is not police's fault - they are employees of the government but paid by you not the government so get them on your side! Get them with good arguments, kind words, be smart and turn them around to be on the side of people - the same people they came from who pay their wages. You must get police on your side. Find a way. How will protests change the fact that they are broke? Silly Communists. If you want to see what communism does to a country, do an image search for "Korea from space at night". Then try to guess which country has communism. Also, that dog looked stoked as sh*t to be there. But I think he's just there for teh lulz. I hope Greece can get their problems in order, before more people get hurt. Such a same.
