I hiked the skyline to the sea trail and camped at twin redwoods this weekend. Totally amazing, the only thing I was disapointed in was the twin redwoods camp site. There were a few small redwoods in the camp and it was low near a stagnant pool of mosquitos. However the wet sand of the beach was soothing to my tired feet. The twelve miles to the ocean are well worth it. I would do it in reverse ocean to HQ. I actually hitched a ride to a beach taco place called Jarro, very tasty, HOTTT waitres.

Like that "best seen in winter" part. Winter is actually my favorite time in the redwoods. When you get a moment, Google this:
mdvaden + redwood titans
A page for viewing the largest known coast redwoods. Finding the larger image file links is easy to spot. Cheers.
