This is real music. The noise that is out now is a pile of garbage.

Say what you want about Goodman, but the dude with the mallets just tears it up.

@JackOrion0670 That's a standard "break" signal, just to be sure the band is silent to let the soloist's part come out. He's not just directing Gene, but all of them, and yes, it's a good idea because someone has to keep the air traffic under control in those settings.

This is wonderful! :)

Oh this makes me so sad that all these heavy cats are not with us any longer.

Watch Krupa at about 5:50 and you'll see where Animal got his training!

nooooot gonna lie. until i discovered Benny Goodman, i never really thought much of the clari. it was just another instrument in the band. thank God for musicians like Goodman to display the full potential of instruments :)

I am one of the few that can say that when I started playing clarinet I didn't think much of it but once I heard Mr. Goodman play for the first time I said to myself I want to be like him when I grow up, now look at me I am an accomplished and talented clarinetist and the only person that I can thank is Benny Goodman so good luck and in times of doubt think of who inspires you.
