  • forgive me if i am wrong... but normally cleans/power cleans are power/speed/explosive movements.... best done in low rep range.... power development requires quick bursts of action without causing muscular fatigue... and normally without touching aerobic system... think of sprinting...... just my 2cents... correct me if i am wrong.....

  • @therockana That is true. However, even the toughest guys want to have fun. That´s what this video is all about. This is not normal training, this is a show-off ;)

actually thats called hang power clean bro

  • Who cares if he doesn't lock out? When you catch a clean in the power position (as opposed to the squat position), all the work is getting the bar up to max height. He catches it so high that the front squat would be easy as hell, and therefore pointless if his goal is to do the reps as fast as possible. He actually makes this more difficult by not racking the weight on his shoulders and therefore doing the reps with less rest in between.

  • i never get bored of watching this

  • No full hip extension = no rep.

  • i'd like to see half the week bastards commenting on here actually try 6 hang cleans in a row without breaking in half... 120kg

  • man there are so many 'experts' on here, maks me laugh

  • @LayEmOut60 you are right but most strength and conditioning coaches will tell you to lock out just for the sake of technique. and also as this is a power exercise that extra 1/2 a second between reps is irrelevant imo. if it were endurance building that would make more sense

  • @therockana 3-6 reps seems to generally thought of as the optimum for power building. most sprinters i know train around 6 whilst building mass and then taper down to 4 then to 2 as they get closer to competitions with the occasional 1 rep thrown in there. it depends on your objective though

  • awsome form! ba

  • @pevelius yeah think i get it... it's like running 200m with almost the speed you can achieve for 100m..... :)

  • that's hang clean

  • Like a fuckin robot. Awesome
