  • I doubt youtube is the best place to ask this, but i got an 84 K20 6.2d here and i hear a rattle when im idleing in drive. its not very noticeable in park or any other gear, but if im at a light you hear what sounds like a chain kinda noise coming from under the truck, i looked and everything down there seems tight so could it be in the transmission? anybody else ever have this?

  • hey, i can probably tell you right now that your flexplate is cracked around the bolt holes on the crankshaft.....i had the same problem with mine, not much of a big deal though, just slammed one on 'er off one from a junkyard

  • So does it make a sound difference with headers on then with the iron manifolds on these diesels?

  • haha sorry man, i dont know...when i say header-back, i mean the exhaust system is from the manifolds back.....it has stock cast iron manifolds

  • hey check out my vid my pickup is the same paint year and engine as yours

  • fuck yeah! I have an '83 Silverado with the 6.2L diesel in it. I get so many looks driving down the road in it.

  • I have a '85 with the 6.2, and I think I'm right in saying, the blazer and that diesel are a perfect combo.

  • Do you know where I can get a signal light assembly for the front end behind the grill

  • @FrawstbyteEXG Timing chain stratched out and slapping the cover. Replace it because when it breaks it will bust that entire accessory cover.

  • Thats a healthy engine. it started right up! My 76 takes forever to start. probably because its not fuel injected... Sounds great. Good video
