  • Do u play for your church?

  • Yes I do. I am currently a college student and play at a church near my school. Although, when I'm home I play at my home church as well. Thanks for watching!

  • Ok this is my favorite!!!!!!! Is this not in the new lutheran hymnal? If so what page? i would like to play it!

  • It is located on page 151 in the new Lutheran Service Booklet. However, to see the complete musical version, you will have to get it from the LSB Liturgy Accompaniment Book.

Good Luck with your playing! :-)

  • keep it green, very nice, how long have you been playing the organ? you look like you're about my age. (26). I don't play but I enjoy listening. is your church elca? I liked the "and also with you" at the end. We have gotten away from that setting we're now using the ELW red book. It's really pretty but somtimes I miss the LBW.

  • I've been playing organ in church for about 3 years now. This song is not only one of my favorite songs to listen to, but also play. Thanks for watching!

  • jessep28 I agree with you and 05forenza. I am 26 years old and I love the traditional lutheran service as well. My church offers a contemporary service at 9am. I've been a couple of times and still not apposed to going, I just prefer the 11am traditional service.

  • I was raised Lutheran and my wife Catholic and her parents' church play more Lutheran hymns than my own college town Lutheran Church. Comments to use more traditional hymns and litergy are met with "that is not what young people want today." I agree that we minister to younger folks away from home as well, but the older folks pay the bills and being discounted has run many off to other protestant congregations. Guitars and drumsets do not do it for me. My campfire days are over.

  • Yes!!!! We sing this at my church, I love it!

  • I do not like the new Lutheran hymnal. Our church has refused to take it..the songs are not nearly as beautiful. I'd personally like to take a hickory switch to whomever got this new hymnal. And many people I know do not like it.

  • I miss this song! I grew up with it in my childhood lutheran church in illinois, but they do not play it in my oklahoma church :(

  • @athensengineer Amen brother!

  • Nice tempo-good sound. Its supposed to be a song of praise!! Thanks for the demo.

  • wow he's good

    great video

  • You play this well. It is hard to find someone that plays is correct, most play it to slow. Beautifully done!!

  • @05Forenza she*

  • Just decided to email my pastor as to why we're not able to experience music that brings back the memories from our childhood through music. We'll see what we have to say =). ...And I can't help but say this song makes me smile!

  • Played this for the three years I was at a Lutheran church. I'm glad you moved it quickly. Too many tend to drag it!
