I kept running and the scent became more powerful. There were three different types of blood all together in one. There must be three people together right now. And I'm going to kill all of them. I saw the end of the forest come closer. Soon, the trees stopped and I was surrounded by a bunch of houses. My feet leaped up onto a light post and I stood there crouching. I looked around and saw a boy walking alone. He kept looking behind him every so often and walking a little faster. Two other boys were following and would just gain speed when the other did. The two boys ran to the other boy and started to beat him up! Kicking him and punching him everywhere in the face. They left the boy laughing. It burned me inside. I leaped from the boy and ran to him. It hurt my heart so much to see him.
"Oh m-my g-god" my voice cracked. His eyes rolled to the back of his head.
"N! You can't die on me! Not like this!!" I started to shake him fiercly but nothing worked. I checked for a pulse and nothing was there. I stared at his chest seeing if he was breathing but not the slightest movement. Tears started to burn my eyes. He was dead. And I could have saved him. I looked over at the two boys and they were still walking. I knew what I had to do. I closed my eyes and I felt them turn fierce red. I stood up and the demon in me screamed loudly. The boys turned around. Ricky and James. Now I wanted to kill them. I jumped at them and landed feets from them. I jumped so hard the side walk made a crack sound. I looked at the boys and they were wide eyed. I smirked at them.
"Let's have som fun. Shall we." I laughed. I decided to have this demon have a little fun.
"Marissa? What are you doing here?" They asked.
"I'm here to make sure you burn in hell." The demon said. They started running away from me. I gave them a head start but I jumped infront of them. I grabbed James and chucked him to the closest tree. He started to cough for air. I grabbed Ricky's shoulder and squeezed hard. He fell to his knees and I heard a loud cracking sound. He screamed in pain. I dropped him to the floor and turned back to James. He was no longer there. I looked over and he ran to his car. He got in and started the car. Before he could shift gears I jumped onto the top of the car and punched it, creating a hole. He screamed. I punched the front window and grabbed his shirt and pulled him out of the car realising him making him land hard on his back. I looked at Ricky and he was still there groaning in pain. I grabbed James's shirt from the back and dragged him to Ricky. Then I grabbed Ricky's shirt and started dragging them both, while they struggled, into a tear down house. I dragged them up stairs and tossed them into a closet locking the door.
"Guess what my favorite smell is?" I asked. Grabbing something from and old shelf. They just groaned.
"I like the smell of something BURNING." The demon laughed. I lit the match on fire and dropped into the floor letting it spread. Then I walked out of the house with a smirk on my face. But it dissapered when I saw HIM sit there. I felt tears pour down my face. I grabbed my cell phone and called 911.
"911, what's your emergency?" The lady on the other side said. I couldn't speak.
"Hello?" She said.
"There's a house burning on fire in the town. Two boys are trapped in it." I said slowly.
"Do you know the address?" She asked.
"....No." I said looking down at the boy. "And miss?"
"Yes?"
"A man is dead. He got beat up to death. Hurry." I closed my phone and stared at boy's lifeless body. I turned to the house and it was all covered with flames. I couldn't hear a single scream. I sighed and sprinted home.

Nick's POV

We got into town and stopped at the store to get a couple of items to prove we were telling the truth to Marissa. We got back into the car and started to drive again. Joe sniffed.
"Nick, do you smell that?" Joe asked. I sniffed and looked at Joe.
"Yeah. Something is burning." I said. Joe zoned out and zoned back in.
"Nick someone trapped two boys in the house and lit it on fire!" Joe said. I started to gain speed and followed the scent. We got to the house and it was fully covered with flames. It was too late for us to save anyone. I saw a crowd of people all gathered in one spot and ran to them. I pushed people aside and saw a plastic sheet covering someone's body.
"Officer, who is it?" I asked.
"We are not sure? Do you think you would know?" He pointed to the body.
"I could see." I shrugged and ducked under the yellow tape. I slowly lifted the sheet from the face and saw Jack.
