Just some pics from a trip down the Blackwater River, with headwaters in AL but we were on the FL portion. The Blackwater River is one of the few shifting sand bottom streams which remains in its natural state for nearly its entire length. It's a beautiful, winding river. As vegetation decays in the water, tannins are leached out, resulting in transparent, acidic water that is darkly stained, resembling tea or coffee. Yeah, I stole that text....but whatever.
