Cat Condo Made From Recycled Drum Set Shells (Zero Cost)

Dilema: 3 cats, no condo. Cat condos go for $125 and up for this size in my area.
Solution: Repurpose old drums (yes, drumset shells) , old blankents from around the house we don't use, and free materials to make a suitable cat condo.

Every single piece of this build was free. I had spare carpeting, wood, screws, drums, blankets, foam, etc. 80% of the parts were destined for the dumpster before I asked for them.

@LakeTahoeWeather Yes, my cats also find their way into the bass drums I have with large enough vent holes for them to sneak into. Good idea on your other comment about speaker covering material!

Recycle and Re-Use I like it 100%. I like the 2x6 posts I think Cats like this better that 4x4. It's more natural to climb. I just found a Score. The Covering used for speakers......That Cats Love to Scratch on.... is really cheap like 4 dollars a Yard. And Its looks Cool Too. Rock On Kitties.

@anaokar Yeah, I cried a little cutting up old drums... but they were in poor shape for use as drums. Some were warped, others had damaged bearing edges, others lacked finish. I thought this was a great re-use of something that was otherwise destined for the landfill. Thanks for viewing!
