Trying to diagnose & fix computers has always been one of my main interests. I have done computer favours for people in the past thanks to referrals from my mother. This is just another one of those referrals and thought I would document my progress through videos.

This system has Windows Vista installed on it. The problem here is that Vista fails to even boot to the desktop. It simply goes into Startup Repair which also fails to find or fix anything. This is what was displayed in the error report:

  • Dell and Asus is better that acer or hp

  • @Eragon86micky I've never owned a Dell or Asus but did use to own an older HP laptop which was fat, slow and ran hot. Got an Acer here which is slimmer & faster but has a broken left click, a breaking right click and a Tab button which has detached from the keyboard. So Acer def don't have the best build quality. (I use a wireless mouse for my clicking now) :)

  • this happen to me,it's same here..solution is:buy a new desktop(dell) or hp.

    acer=poor production

  • @TheCombine7 Mostly everything is made in China. Acer probably just have poorer quality control I suppose. This is more virus related than Acer-related though :)
