Michael Hart, a conventional livestock family farmer, has been farming in Cornwall for nearly thirty years and has actively campaigned on behalf of family farmers for over fifteen years, travelling extensively in Europe, India, Canada and the USA.

In this short documentary he investigates the reality of farming genetically modified crops in the USA ten years after their introduction. He travels across the US interviewing farmers and other specialists about their experiences of growing GM.

Well done. We have a small farm and are terrified now of the GM alfalfa being released because it will find it's way into our organic fields!! There are some frightening incidents lately of soil organisms that are killing crops and of livestock fertility issues (aborted fetuses/still born calves). I am having issues with my chicken/duck/geese hatches (my western neighbor has recently rented his field to a GM crop growing farmer). I am concerned the heavy herbicide use over there is causal.

@queasyeasy exactly, I have to criticize this guys farming techniques from this video it appears he grows the same crop several seasons in a row and that he continuously uses the same group of herbicides. If you use the same herbicide over and over the weeds will develop a resistance regardless of what kind of seeds you're using. I'm not even a farmer and I can tell this guy's doing it wrong

Yes, you are right. The gov't makes money off these criminals, and it stinks for lack of a better word. However, maybe if luck hangs in the farmers favor, a new gov't can evoke a change. All we can do is hope and let voices be heard.

@heatleynoble Why are you arguing for there and your limitations? As long as you have a breath on this planet you have a choice and there are possibilities. They are greedy and ignorant and that's what got them where they are now.
