    o.O

They "split up" ( as in the format you see here) months and months ago. It's now called "Davy Knowles and Back Door Slam". He is still touring and has been for a long time. The American tour just ended today actually.

  • this band split up but he is actually, in my opinion, with a better band, they are definetely more solid players.

Knowles lives in America now, no longer on the Isle of Man. I am hoping he will be back on the rock soon, so Englands a sure bet in the distant future.

  • I hate to burst everybody's bubble, but I'm pretty sure that Back Door Slam split up. Davy's still doing the solo thing but I'm pretty sure the band is no more.

It's a shame, they were unbelievable, but as long as Davy is still playing guitar somewhere, I'm fine with it.

  • hey guys am trying to find out if back door slam is playing in the uk anytime ???

  • Davey Knowles and Backdoor Slam are a great band live, and I'm sure we'll see much more from them in the future. Davey is one of the most gifted guitarists to come along in a long time. Check him out playing Hendrix's "Redhouse" on YouTube at

  • Say I've seen buddy guy twice in the late 60's at the Rock Pile and at the waterfront in Toronto. He was running around with a gigantically long guitar cord running thought the croud, up the stairs and over to the edge of the balcony with his roadies shlepping his cord through the croud. I wonder what He does these days with cordless guitars.

Nice song boys. Enjoyed your tiny island. It's a big place to us.
