  • My favorite song by the Jam. I remember hearing my brother play their records when I was a kid. He used to buy the Imports from England. They didn't have a label in the States at the time. He met the band twice when they came here to New York. He spoke with Paul Weller one time. He commented on my brothers John Lennon t-shirt he was wearing. Turns out Paul Weller is a big Beatles fan.

  • @elmolewis1 Please forgive the lateness of my reply - your comment slipped by.

  • I know a Liza ??????

  • @disjoinedchip2 You are right about that. When interviewed about the extras cd Weller told of how he wanted the song to sound "Quasi Physcodelic like Syd Barrett".

  • Who agrees that the original recordings are so much better than the digital remastered s***t!... I have all the jam and wellers albums, who else has noticed that his/their digital remastered stuff has sounds and notes missing? YOU HAVE TO BE A PROPER FAN, or at least musically eared to notice that.

  • the best they ever done

  • Yesterday's girl lives in a dream, she lives in a shck just by the sea.

  • great tune this one, lyrically weller is clear and precise more than can be said for the rubbish nowadays

  • @elmolewis1 weller was hugely influenced by the beatles ,the who ,the small faces, the kinks, and also motown and US soul/R`n`B like james brown etc
