"Dark Signals" by Mark Mosher (Live Rehearsal Video)

"Dark Signals" is a song from my album I Hear Your Signals. This video is in HD and I captured the audio full fidelity right from my sound card in real-time and made no edits to audio. It's one of my favorite songs off the album and is becoming a crowd favorite at live shows. A dark original electronica song with driving big beats, bit-crushed high-hats, a dash of ambient texture, and tasty distorted synth leads. Checkout the rippin' synth solo at the 1:42 mark performed live from a Tenori-On matrix controller sending notes to a virtual synth running in Ableton Live. The Moog Etherwave Theremin signal is being converted from analog back to digital and is driving virtual synths as well.

This surely deserves a congratulation. I'm a teacher of piano that's more into Beethoven than anything, and I don't really like all electronic music, but I saw one of your videos by chance... and now I've seen them all. I really like how you combine and overlap the sounds, it creates and incredible atmosphere. Nicely done. I hope to see more videos soon.

Thanks for you kind words. I really appreciate it. As a long-time keyboardist, it's been really interesting for me to explore creating dynamic performances using these altertnative tangible controllers. These songs are from two concept albums REBOOT and I HEAR YOUR SIGNALS which tell the same tale of alien invasion from two points of view. @VJFranzK Thanks! Yes that's a Moog Etherwave Theremin. I use it pitch-to-midi to send controller info to virtual synths in live.
