Leann Rimes - I Need You - (Cover) By Drew Dawson Davis

This is a song I did like 5 years ago, and one that was my personal fav for a long time. Leann has an amazing voice no question. My point wasn't to sing it better than her, but to sing it the way I would sing it.

If I had to do it again, It would make some changes for sure, but I think the performance is a cool one...and the emotion is there...and as such I hope you like it.

p.s. Those who know me best know I'm not a religious nut by any means. I don't belong really to any school of thought altogether. I've looked into almost every kind of religion and way of thinking there is, including atheism, Buddhism, even Kabbalism just this morning, etc etc etc. However, after everything I've found, I do see purpose in the world around me which could only have been made by something bigger than any of us individually with a purpose in mind. To me that points to a creator. How perfect the world revolves, how the moon provides light at night, how the sun is perfectly set to give enough heat without scalding us, and yet not so far away for us to freeze to death. Everything here is perfectly made for us as humans. To think that happened by mere coincidence etc is beyond me. I would liken it to winning the lottery every day of your live for a 1000 years. Just not possible. And what was driving that evolution? Although I believe things evolve, they certainly don't evolve the way some people think. At least that's what believe. Here we are, revolving on a spinning ball in the middle of no where, and no way to get off. I think sometimes we forget to look at the big picture, and realize where we are, what we are really doing here. We've been alive long enough that we aren't as impressed with what's really here. We forget the magnificence of being able to see millions of colors, touch, sense, smell the world around us. We are here for sure.

My goal is to be the best person I can, and love others, bottom line. And yes, I do believe Christ was the son of God, and he died for my sins. Some may think that's ridiculous, and yet, I think living in a world and universe without purpose is, when there clearly is purpose in our world if you know how to read it is.

Lastly, Jesus has been documented and believed by almost all of the main religions since his earthly life. Although Judaism and Muslims believe Christ was a prophet, to me the fact that so many document and accept his legitimacy points to something bigger.




This isn't about religion, whose right who's wrong. It's to say simple. Love one another, forgive, bless, and continually better yourself. It's also for me to show my gratitude to my savior Jesus Christ through song with my voice and share that experience with you guys.

@robinlynne33 : Wow...thanks so much. I'm glad you liked it. Yeah...covering Garth is rough. He's so talented. As for the LDS faith. I grew up VERY LDS...but I keep it simple now. I read the bible...believe in Jesus...that's it. But I grew up in Mesa AZ, and now I live in Utah so you can imagine how well I know that culture. =0)

I popped it in..and then shifted it down like 2 keys or something with one of my high end plug ins...and that's that. It sounds kinda muddy, but it worked.
