why are neutrals important

To lower the voltage across the plates

it looks like you have one Positive plate, and one Negative plate (per each end), and 5 Neutrals just stacked in between? is that correct? I am curious also to how many AMPS you are drawing? and one other question, do your electrodes(the bolts themselves in particular) get HOT? Thanks for your product!

2 negative, 2 pos. and 3 neutrals. In the videos the cells have been running for about 2-3 hrs and are up to 145 degrees and are pulling about 16 amps. The bolts get pretty warm but not hot. Hope this helps. Thanks for writing
